I believe our human connection to nature is a fundamental part of life. Through education, this bond can be strengthened. Therefore by encouraging it from a young age, we build foundations of its importance.
Set a brief to design a 4 double page spread magazine article, I made a woodland-themed children's magazine with interactive activities, and information about woodlands and the fun-guy family. Focus was drawn to one woodland in Falmouth, Tregoniggie, to encourage people to find their own local pockets of woodlands. I spent time volunteering with the Tregoniggie community group to maintain the woodland as well as interviewed Euan, the head of the committee to get a real insight into the history of the land.
